"God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us." ~ Acts 15:8
Hello, my praying friends. I completed my goal this morning by praying over the last Psalms, 149 and 150. I created this blog with the intention of accountability for myself and others who wanted to learn how to pray effectively using God’s word. The first one was posted on March 19, 2022. It has been about two years, and what a beautiful journey I have had in prayer with God through His word. During that time, I also prayed over a few letters. I’ve learned much about His attributes, glory, protection, justice, mercy, and salvation plan for us. And the learning about our great God is not over yet! So now, let’s get into Psalm 72.
O God, may Your justice and righteousness dominate all nations. May You defend the cause of the poor, unjustly suffering for Your name’s sake. Let Your name be praised throughout the generations. Raise up men of faith, pastors of the flock.
We need Your guidance and courage to stand firm in our faith, not wavering in the false and wicked indoctrination of the culture. Teach us how to live with those in foolishness, violence, and reprobation. Not to follow their vile examples that are offensive to a Holy God. Crushed our enemies, those who delight in killing unborn babies, children, mothers, and fathers. Save us, Lord!
"Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you, bind them around your neck," ~ Proverb 3:3
Forgive me when fear of rumour of warfare, human trafficking, suffering and cruelty are filling the media news and the injustice isn’t done. Those who profit from such debased minds make me angry because I cannot do anything about it but cry in tears to You, O Lord, for justice.
Forgive me when I seek pleasure outside of Your word. Forgive me for not trusting in Your promises. Teach me not to worry or fear the evil events that derailed our culture. Teach the next generation how to be boastful, perverted, and arrogant. Let me learn how to seek and dwell in Your word with determination and zeal. Teach me how to be the woman in Titus.
Saved my youngest son from his fallen state. Create in him a new heart that will praise Your name. Crushed all evil spirits deceiving my oldest son. Bring Your word, a double wedge sword, to be his final rest and peace. Ripped off his wall, those iconic satanic images have led him to worship other gods and magic that led him to be unstable in his mind. Let him hear our counsel, which will lead him back to You. I pray for my daughter’s physical and emotional health not to be overcome by unforeseen circumstances. Bring a godly man into her life to be a spouse and friend to her. Let my children glorify Your name.
