Psalm 85

"Show us Your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation. Let me hear what God, the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land." (psalm 119: 7-8)

Turn Your Anger from us, O Lord

Lord, let Your anger toward us fade and let Your perfect plan of salvation continue in its grace. Forgive our iniquities as individuals and as a nation. The people of our land have all turned away from Your commandments, laws, and good precepts. They’ve sought their own glory.

Oh God, cover our sins with the blood of Jesus Christ so that we may live. Do not forsake Your people, for we need You more than ever. Give us strength to endure mockery, oppression, and, for some, death. Strengthen our faith through your comforting words.

Restore Us

Restore us to Your word, O God of Hosts. Let us read Your word with interest and zeal. Give us wisdom and understanding when we study Scripture. Teach us to be gracious, faithful, patient, kind, loving, and self-controlled during our weak moments. Show us Your steadfast love that endures forever. Forgive our lack of discipline and weakness in the flesh or mind. Forgive the selfish ambitions that drive us from the truth or Your word. Forgive us when we doubted Your promises.

Keep my Heart Faithful to You

Keep my heart faithful to You, and let your humble servant’s work be pleasing to You. Let our land be fruitful, yielding its increase. Give us Your blessing. Make our footsteps not falter but be affirmed in Your laws.

“Break the fatal enchantment that binds my evil affections, and bring me to a happy mind that rests in Your, for You have made me and can not forget me. Let Your Spirit teach me the vital lessons of Christ, for I am slow to learn; and hear my broken cries” ~ Exeprt from Valley of Vision

  • He favours those who obey Him
  • He is wrathful toward those who rebel, disobey, and are wicked.
"But God being rich in MERCY, because of teh great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace You have been saved." ~ Ephesians 2:4-5
