Psalm 98

Adoration: His Salvation and Steadfast Love

1Oh sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has done marvelous things!
His right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2The Lord has made known his salvation;
he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
3He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness
to the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.

Oh God, Merciful King of the earth, let our voices sing praises to Your holy name for you’ve done marvelous things! (v1). Through Your Son, Jesus Christ, you’ve revealed Your worked of salvation and revealed also Your righteousness in the sight of all the nations, and everyone will one day profess you’re the truth God and kneel before You (v2).

Your steadfast love and faithfulness is declared with each generation, and the people of the earth have seen the salvation and testimonies of our God (v.3).

Confession: Sing Praises

4Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
5Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,
with the lyre and the sound of melody!
6With trumpets and the sound of the horn
make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!

Let my heart confess my undesirable sins, for you, O my God, have redeemed me and give me life. Let me never forget your law. Oh my King, forgive your servant’s trouble mind and heart over things I do not want to do, but did it anyway in my disobedience or doubtful ways. Teach me how to find joy from Your word, instead of doubting Your righteousness. Teach me how to discipline my emotions, worries, and weariness of this Fallen world creates (Babylonian state). Forgive my unsteadiness and undisciplined mind and heart in those area(I won’t name mine; it’s to personal. Everyone has struggles).

Thankfulness:

We’re grateful for our home and car so that we can go to church and also go visit our brothers/sisters in Christ during the week. We’re grateful for our pastor that teaches, encourages, and warns us about the truth of Your word. Father, I’m bless to have my husband loving and being patient with me for I’m certainly not the perfect wife. Your servant delight when You enlarge my heart in understanding your Word. I will meditate on Your word day and night, when you teach me your precepts. Oh God, Father of my life, by patient with your servant.

Supplication: He Will Judge

7Let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
the world and those who dwell in it!
8Let the rivers clap their hands;
let the hills sing for joy together
9before the Lord, for he comes
to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
and the peoples with equity.

How long, Oh Lord? The insolent and wicked have broken Your law and brought disorder to our world. Come soon to judge the wicked that are oppressing, lying, and hurting the families, the poor, and the needy. A heartfelt cast down on my soul, because I see all the evildoers getting away with their cunning and falsehood. Justice is mocked upon. Criminals are set free.

Oh my King, come quickly and judge the earth, for your people are perishing!

Let’s Go Pray!
