“Psalm 108 serves as a poignant reminder of the power of faith in God during challenging times. King David’s unwavering belief in God’s promises and His divine intervention assures us that victory is assured when we rely on God. As believers, let’s keep our hearts tuned to praise, our prayers fervent, and our faith steadfast in God’s sovereignty. “~ Biblehub
A Melody for God (v 1- 4)
Oh Father in heaven, let your Majesty reign upon this world. Let us not succumb or envy those who are evildoers. Let my lips sing praise your name on high, and not be ashamed that you’re my God. For your steadfast love is always with me, enduring forever. My heart belongs to you and seven times a day, I’ve sinned against you, but you’ve forgiven me seven times more. There is no God like you, who has taught me that your grace is sufficient and you will always be there for me. Let me not wander away from You!
Exalted God (v 5-9)
Oh Jesus, you’re my redeemer and there is no one that has provided me with more comfort then you. Let your glory be over all the earth! Teach your servant how to live in righteousness and answer my prayer. In your promises is my hope. I will walk and seek your ways.
Assertion of Faith (v 10-13)
Oh my God, sanctified with gentleness through all my trials. Let not the cords and bonds of your law be a snare to me, but a gentle teaching and discipline to my soul. You’ve not rejected me in my fault, but lovingly build me up through it. “With God we shall to valiantly; it is he who will thread down our foes.” (v13). My hope is in Jesus Christ Alone. In Jesus’s name. Amen
