Psalm 39

Cape Chignecto Trail (180m)

We hiked a small part of the Cape Chignecto Coastal trail (22.9km) and climbed for two hours to the 5km marker before returning. The return was much easier and faster as it was mostly going down. The view at the top of the cliff was terrific; with all the foliage of the trees gone, you could see the open ocean for miles. God provided us with a safe return home, and we praised Him for it.

Like the seasons that come and go, we draw nearer to God in our prayer than we lack at other times. Sometimes it’s the same with our spiritual walk with Jesus Christ. We took a hard-level route instead of an easy one and struggled to keep up with those we considered ‘strong’ Christians. It’s a life of complicated trails, and we should blame ourselves for those decisions leading us into rugged terrain. Reflecting on our walk with Christ is the same; making a better choice for a godly life is profitable to us and others.

Now read Psalm 39 and pray over it!

ADORATION (v.1-3)

I said, “I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, so long as the wicked are in my presence.” I was mute and silent; I held my peace to no avail, and my distress grew worse. 3 My heart became hot within me. As I mused, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue:

Your kingdom will come, Almighty God, Creator of earth and heaven, and you’ll reign among us. You’ve triumphed over all your enemies. Your ways are righteous and holy!

CONFESSIONS (v. 4-6)

“O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!
Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah  Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!

Guard my ways, my tongue and my mouth from profaning your holy name and forgive me if I’ve compromised my ways of living to please others and not you. My lifetime is but a mist before You, and I sought things that are not heavenly, like a spoiled child. You brought me back to your green pasture through steadfast love and protected me from the wolves who desired to destroy the sheep. I’m nothing if I’m not in Christ, but I gain an inheritance if grafted into Your grace and salvation. Forgive my sins as you know them all. There is no place to hide but in Your arms of mercy and forgiveness.

THANKSGIVING (v.7-11)

“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you. Deliver me from all my transgressions. Do not make me the scorn of the fool! I am mute; I do not open my mouth, for it is you who have done it.10 Remove your stroke from me; I am spent by the hostility of your hand.11 When you discipline a man with rebukes for sin, you consume like a moth what is dear to him; surely all mankind is a mere breath! Selah

“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You.” My heart rejoiced this morning for answered prayer. An impossible love renewed between a husband and wife. You showed your servant how much Your steadfast love toward me is greater than the one I give back to You. It has no limit! A wife’s love in her old days brings more joy than all the flowers or jewelry a husband could offer. My husband’s love for me is more precious than gold. For this, I thank God. We both praised You in our thankful prayer, and you kept us growing old together.

Driftwood Retreat Beaches, Nova Scotia

SUPPLICATION (v.12-13)

“Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; hold not your peace at my tears! For I am a sojourner with you,  a guest, like all my fathers. 13 Look away from me, that I may smile again,  before I depart and am no more!”

I Pray for a broken spirit. A child of God who is in distress in body, soul, and mind. Let not this person say, “There is no God.” Because of the problematic trial of faith, she/he is going through. Give this person the strength to endure whatever hail him/she with the situation. I pray this person calls upon Jesus as their Savior for divine grace and love intervention.

Psalm 38

ADORATION (v. 1-8)

Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. Your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down on me.Because of your wrath there is no health in my body;  there is no soundness in my bones because of my sin. My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.5 My wounds fester and are loathsome because of my sinful folly. 6 I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning.7 My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body. 8 I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart.

O My King, return to us, your absence is prolonged, and I cannot bare it no longer. Let our old eyes see Your return in all your glory and majesty. O My King, the land is polluted with shameful deeds, greed, and power that has brought Your wrath and judgements upon our lands. There is none who seeks after you, not even myself! “My wounds stink and fester because of my foolishness.” We’re feeble and crushed, and I groan because of the tumult of my heart.” But You, My King, see me and lead me to the better ground.

“My deepest fear is waking up twenty years form now still the same woman I am today. With the same annoying habits and petty attitudes; with the same besetting sins and false beliefs. I can’t imagine anything more terrible than getting to the end of my life only to discover that God had so much more in mind for me-more freedom, more joy, more peace, more true effectiveness. And I had missed it, simply because I refuse to change. So I press on, and I hope you will too. Believe me, dear sister, we can trust God. If we allow the spotlight of heaven to shine on the dark recesses of our souls, god will scrub off the old layers of whitewash. He’ll remove those pockets of Martha drivenness and Pharisee pride. By the power of HIs Holy Spirit, He will transform us form glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18). Until one day, to our surprise, we’ll wake up and realize that we look just like…Jesus!” ~ Joanna Weaver

CONFESSION (v. 9-16)

All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.10 My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes.11 My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away.12 Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie.13 I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak; 14 I have become like one who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply. 15 Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God. 16 For I said, “Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.

“O Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you.” My heart throbs, my strength fails me, and the light of my eyes also has gone from me.” Sweet Jesus, my life can only be perfected through You. I’m lost in thoughts, if not in prayer. You called upon me to trust You, and I shall do so with my prayers. You answered many of my most profound ones, and I felt unworthy. My God, you show your steadfast love toward your servant, even when I asked for the impossible. You gave it to me with such passion I knew without a doubt it was of God.

I need to trust your timing, righteousness, and judgment. Without them, there is no justice or restoration of our souls. “But for you, O Lord, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.” Only then will I rejoice for those who boast against us?

THANKSGIVING (v.17-21)

17 For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me. 18 I confess my iniquity;  I am troubled by my sin.19 Many have become my enemies without cause; those who hate me without reason are numerous. 20 Those who repay my good with evil lodge accusations against me, though I seek only to do what is good.21 Lord, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God. 22 Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior.

O Father, thank you for restoring our love and renewing our respect for each other. Your steadfast love guided my heart, and your reward was sublime. No doubt in my heart, you’ve heard my cries and my need to be loved by my husband. Keep us together by your grace. Let us not see pridefulness that will lead us apart.

Psalm 37

Connector Highway, B.C.

ADORATION (v. 1-7)

O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.
So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you? -Psalm 71: 17-19

This prayer is dated July 25,2022. Read Psalm 37 and pray over it.

O Father, I pray those who read my prayers will grow nearer to you. If there is one young woman or young man who seeks to learn how to pray to the Almighty God, Creator, and Redeemer, through my personal prayer, I thank you with all my heart, for this is the reason why I choose to be here with them, so that you call each one of us to intimate prayer with You. Now let’s pray together! Guide our hearts to respond to the call of your steadfast love and mercy.

My blessed Father, my delight is in you because no other One loves my soul. I shall commit my ways and trust you during the most challenging times. Father, bring your righteousness upon our land and our nations. Let us not fret over those who prosper in their ways and carry out evil schemes. Let my heart be content with your Word and the Son of Man who died for us. Nothing else matters but the pure sacrifice of the Lamb of God to bring salvation to all people.

SUPPLICATION (v. 8-18)

Psalm 37 tells us not to fret over those who prosper or do evil and break those who are righteous because they will be accountable for their unfaithful deed. The Lord knows the blameless days, and our heritage will last forever, for God is a righteous judge.

For now, let us endure the trials of this short life. Strengthen our faith, purify our hearts from fears, anxieties, loneliness, addictions, and false religions that turn our hearts from You.

“A Mary spirit is not a personality type. It isn’t about being an extrovert versus an introvert or an active person versus a more contemplative type. Having a Mary spirit is about our attitude toward what God wants to dod in our lives. The spirit behind our response to Him makes all the difference.”

Having a Mary Spirit by Joanna Weaver

THANKSGIVING (v. 19-33)

I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. He is ever lending generously, and his children become a blessing. Psalm 37:25-26

Father, let us delight in your ways, establish your servant’s heart on heavenly things, and not envy those who will vanish like smoke. We’re thankful. You held us on a path of righteousness. Bless us with the generosity of your will. You love justice and will not forsake your saints and preserve us forever. Your promises endure forever.

“But what stood out most to me was the fact that when Jesus scolded Martha about her busyness, he wasn’t condemning her efficiency and hard work or her can-do personality. H wasn’t telling her she had to be just like Mary to please Him. Jesus simply didn’t want Martha to be so caught up in kitchen service for Him that she missed out on the joy of living-room intimacy with Him.”

A Mary spirit by Joanna Weaver

SUPPLICATION (v. 34-40)

Father, we only can keep your ways if you give us the will and strength to understand it. Let our hearts settle on your promises, for you shall return, and your Word is our hope and comfort, not to on those who plot evil day and night against your saints. The liars, deceivers, and profiters will receive their due payment. Your salvation is from the Lord. Be in my stronghold when we’re in trouble. Help us not fear but stay steadfast in our endurance when difficult times. My refuge is in Jesus Christ.

Psalm 67- Thanksgiving

Hello everyone, we’re back home, and our visit with family and Christian friends was terrific. The hospitality we received from them was unbelievably loving. The fellowship and sharing were greatly appreciated, and we praised God for all the love we received from them.

So to all of you, Happy Thanksgiving!

Let All Peoples Praise You!

May God be gracious to us and bless usand make his face to shine upon us, Selah. that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! 4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Selah 5 Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!
6 The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us;let all the ends of the earth fear him!

Our God shall bless us! Whatever we do, give glory to Him in the good and bad seasons, for God’s face shines upon us. He is gracious and blesses us that we may be known on the earth, and those who look upon God’s people will know that there is a God who is Almighty and Powerful.

Let our voices sing songs and hymns of praises into God’s name with joy. The earth yielded its increase, and we have plenty at the harvest. We share the fruit of our labour with those who have less. Let this day be another of prosperity, love, fellowship, and hospitality.

Once again, Happy Thanksgiving!

Psalm 36

My last entry for a Psalm was in May this year. Psalm 31 is the last one, and we’ll continue from Psalm 36. I’m praying over Psalm 57, and I’ve changed the format from the ACTS. I’ve done that from time to time. Now that we’re in September, I must pick on Psalm or letter for memorization this long winter.

I cannot believe summer is over. We were busy fixing many of our ‘in progress’ list of repairs around our property and harvesting our crops. We’re fortunate that nothing was damaged by the storm Fiona, but many have lost their homes and property damages, depending on where you lived.

We will visit families and friends in Christ on the west coast, so there will be no posting for the coming weeks. Psalm 36 is dated July 24/22. September is one of my favourite months as the leaves on the maple trees are just starting to change their colour.

ADORATION (v. 5-6)

Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord.

O my King, Your steadfast love gives us hope, joy, purpose, strength, and compassion. If you didn’t have a steadfast love for your servant, we would be crushed in spirit, soul, and mind.

Your righteousness is our voice and justice against those who hate us. We live in a time where there is nothing free or reasonable. Each one is doing what is good in their own eyes. We’re lost in a sea-storm of events that hates your word, hates the name of Jesus, and hates your grace.

Your judgments will come, and we pray your servant will be ready at your return. Show us your ways and truth, and keep our feet from wandering toward the danger of turning away from you with doubtful thoughts. The deception and lies must surrender to us, and we pray for you to give us a heart of discernment.

SUPPLICATION (v.1-4)

Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.
For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.
He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good;  he does not reject evil.

O, my King, our transgressions are many and deep in our hearts. We fear God. Forgive us and rescue our souls from going further into following the wicket who runs this world with an iron fist, wanting to kill your people. They hate human intelligence and free people, and they hadn’t when the people raised against their evil plots and put them to shame. Their iniquities are trouble and deceit; they will not cease to act evilly. You will receive judgment upon them in your righteousness.

THANKSGIVING (v.7-9)

7 How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life;  in your light do we see light.

O My King, how precious is your steadfast love! We take refuge in your wings when our heart is cast down by fears or uncertainty of our liberty. We looked up at Jesus and found our strength. We see an abundant feast at your house, and our hearts are strengthened from its tiredness journey. The fountain of life poured into our veins, for Jesus loves me and saved me. Are we to forget his love in times of trouble? Am I to recant my King as Peter did when frightened of death? Oh no, oh no, let my lips praise him forever!

SUPPLICATION (v.10-12)

Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you and your righteousness to the upright of heart!
11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 There, the evildoers lie fallen; they are thrust down, unable to rise.

Continue your steadfast love toward your servant. Let not the foot of arrogance deceive us, or the hand of the wicket drive us away from You. They are evildoers, and you’ll thrust them down.

I pray for my neighbours, save their souls and protect them from deception. I pray for my children, who are Christians, to give them discernment, wisdom, and strength, heal them from hurtful relationships and redeem my child that isn’t saved. Who him the love of the Father. I pray for the young families of this country. Be with them as they have a more difficult journey ahead. I pray for the single young people who are broken, alone, fatigued, and lost in purpose in their life. Renew their heart with love for You, their only hope of pure restoration. Keep our marriage relationship pure and strong, with agape love for one another.

Psalm 31: A Moment with God

Planting flower bulbs and tidying up our shed took us three hours, completing the chicken tunnel, changing a kitchen sink, unplugging the drainage, and studying for my CFSC. Yep, one of those busy weeks. Everyone has a similar or more active week like those ones. Unending weeks can become a vicious cycle where our quality time alone with God could be thrown into a corner if we’re not careful to attend to our spiritual needs and bodies. Never feel sorry for yourself or guilty that you haven’t picked up your Bible for an entire week. Honestly, I’m guilty of the same faults and what a shame that I neglected my Friend and Counsellor of my soul. When you’ve realized it, stop immediately what you’re doing and be right with Him. Repent of your lack of communion with your Savior Jesus. Our God is a forgiving Father.

Nobody is perfect; that includes me! Even if we do our devotion every morning and listen to the audio Bible daily, I failed to be alone with Jesus last week. Driving home after completing my CFSC, I thanked God for safety on the highway from collisions with a moose or deer and for providing dry roads for five consecutive nights. Realizing that my prayers were answered, I felt grateful and cried with gratitude. I confidently approached the throne of grace because His steadfast love endures forever. I’m his daughter, and He loved me first.

PSALM 31

Read Psalm 31 and pray over it.

ADORATION (v 1-5)

O Lord, I take refuge in your righteousness, for you’ve redeemed my soul. You’re my rock of refuge and a strong fortress. You’ve saved my soul from a path of selfishness, and through the Holy Spirit, you regenerated my heart to respond to the gospel. I will commit my spirit, body, and soul into your holy hands, for you alone, O Lord, is a faithful and good God.

CONFESSION (v.6-13)

O Lord, I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love because you’ve seen my past, present, and future afflictions and distress. All those uncontrollable situations that are fearful, stressful, and unbearable cannot be faced by my own strength, exempt through continual prayers to the Father. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for my eyes are wasted in grief for beloved ones I cannot reach with the gospel. They see me as unfit for reasoning and too old to comprehend their truth. Continue to teach how to pray faithfully to You.

THANKSGIVING (v.14-20)

You’re my God; make your face shine upon your servant; you saved me in steadfast love! Oh, how abundant is your grace for those who feared you? I’m thankful for your love for those who take refuge in you. Thank you for the sunny days. I pray you will keep the rain away this week and protect me on the road in the evening.

SUPPLICATION (v.21-24)

“Love the Lord, all you, his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride. Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” (v.23-24) Oh, how sweet are your love for us, Jesus, and I pray you hear my voice. Be with the Chamberlain’s son as he struggles with brain seizures. Put your healing hands on him and heal the boy for the sake of his parents if you’re willing. Let your name be praised on high!

NOW IT’S YOUR TURN

“I will pray that your week with be filled with His grace, love, and forgiveness.”“Come to me, all weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30). “I will pray that your week with be filled with His grace, love, and forgiveness. “Come to me, all weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).

Adoration

The Lord’s Supremacy Over heavenly Being (v.1-2)

Oh, people, ascribe to the Lord the glory of his name. The voice of the Lord is powerful and majestic (v4). The God of glory thunders over the earth with strength, and the splendour of your holiness reaches all people. None shall come and be as powerful and holy as Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

Confession

The Lord’s Supremacy over the Forces of Nature (v.3-9)

Your voice can break cedars and also has the power to break the chains of slavery upon my neck. Oh sweet Jesus, in you alone, can I lift up my eyes and be forgiven of all my sins and approach the throne of God with confidence.

“True prayer is and approach of the sould by the Spirit of God to the throne of God. It is not the utterance of words, it is not alone the feeelings of desires, but it is the advance of the desires to God, the spirititual approach of our natural toward the Lord our God. True prayer is neither a mre mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that -it is spiritual transaction with the Cretor of heaven and earth. God is a Spirit unseen of mortal eye and only to be perceived by the inner man.”

The Lord’s Supremacy Over Humanity (v.10-11)

Oh Lord, your sovereignty over all things brings me joy and comfort, for you’ve control over it all. Your statutes and teachings are excellent and profitable. Your voice is a double-sword edge, and no other gods or men of this world can stand against it, and none can be compared to your holiness. My song of praise shall be heard with the multitude at your return. “And in your temple, all with a cry, “Glory!”

Supplication

Your word shall rule in my heart all the day of my life. Strengthen my groins for the coming hardship and protect my heart when evil spewed doubts into my mind. In you alone can I stand firm in my faith. Praise your name on high!

"As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot." 1 Peter 1:13-19

Oh, The Breadth of the Love of Christ!

“For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.”— Psalm 149:4

How comprehensive is the love of Jesus!

There is no part of his people’s interests which he does not consider, and there is nothing which concerns their welfare which is not important to him. Not merely does he think of you, believer, as an immortal being, but as a mortal being too.

Do not deny it or doubt it: “The very hairs of your head are all numbered.”

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

It were a sad thing for us if this covering of love did not tackle all our concerns, for what mischief might be done to us in that part of our lives that did not come under our gracious Lord’s protection!

Believer, rest assured that the heart of Jesus cares about your smallest conserns. The breadth of his tender love is such that you may turn to him in every case; for in all your afflictions He is afflicted, and like a father cares his children, so He cares for you.

The smallest interests of all His saints are all borne upon the heart of the Son of God. Oh, what a heart is his, which does not merely comprehend the nature of His people, but comprehends theIR diverse and innumerable concerns.

Dost thou think, O Christian, that you can measure the love of Christ? Consider what His love has brought you–justification, adoption, sanctification, eternal life! The riches of his goodness are unsearchable; you will never be able to convey them out or even conceive them.

Oh, the breadth of the love of Christ! Shall such a love as this have half our hearts? Shall it have a cold love in return?

Shall Jesus’ marvellous lovingkindness and tender care be met with only faint response and delayed acknowledgment?

O my soul, tune your harp to a glad song of thanksgiving! Go to your rest rejoicing, for you are no desolate wanderer, but a beloved child watched over, cared for, supplied and defended by your Lord.

Psalm 27

Adoration

Read verses 1-5

 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh,my adversaries and foes,
 it is they who stumble and fall. 3 Though an army encamp against me,  my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. 4 One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. 5 For he will hide me in his shelter
in the day of trouble;he will conceal me under the cover of his tent he will lift me high upon a rock.

O Lord, you’re my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? You’re the stronghold of my life, and nothing will shatter my faith in my beloved Savior(v.1). For your hold my soul firmly in your right hand and in your left hand you’re protecting me(Psalm 63:8). My confidence and trust come from a holy God whose steadfast love endures forever. O Lord, let me dwell in your house all the days of my life and let my eyes gaze upon the beauty of the Lord’s temple (v4). Lift me high upon your solid rock (v5).

Confession

Read verses 6-10

And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me,and I will offer in his tent
sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! 8 You have said, “Seek my face.”
My heart says to you,“Your face, Lord, do I seek.”9 Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.

O Father, be kind to your servant and hear my prayer when I seek your face. Cast me not off or forsake me not, for I want to learn your wisdom, sound teachings and lovingkindness. Forgive the sins of my past, present and future that I’ve unconsciously done against you. Forgive your servant for being complacent in reaching others with the gospel.

Thanksgiving

Read verses 11-14

11 Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. 12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.
13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Low in the land of the living!
14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

O Lord, thank you for teaching me your ways that are profitable and worthy to my soul(Colossians 1:9-14). Thank you for strengthening my courage while waiting for the return of my King.Thank you for exposing my adversary’s false testimonies, for they have spread their lies like cancer that cannot be remedied (v11). Thank you for allowing your servant to look upon the goodness of the Lord (v13).

Power of Prayer

“The Lord high Chamberlain of the palace above, our Lord Jesus Christ, takes care to alter and amend every prayer before He presents it to His father. He makes the prayer perfect with His perfection and prevalent with His own merits. God looks upon the prayer as presented through Christ and forgives all its own inherent faultiness. How this should encourage any of us who feel ourselves to be feeble, wandering, and unskillful in prayer! If you cannot plead with God as sometimes you did in years gone by, if you fell as if somehow or other you have grown rusty in the work of supplication, never give up. but come still and come oftener, for it is not a throne of severe criticism to which you come. “

Psalm 24

Elgin, NB.

Adoration

Read Psalm 24 and pray over it. My prayer reflected spiritual warfare and family division.

O King of glory, may we lift our hands up to you. O Lord of the host, how wonderful are your gates of heavens. The Lord is strong and mighty in battle, and all your enemies will bow their knees to you(Psalm 24:7-8). Pour your righteousness upon your servant that all may be well with her. Your grace rolls over the earth bringing salvation to all people. “Of this, you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth (Colossians 1: 5-6).

Confession

O Father, forgive your servant for lack of bravery and understanding in the face of evil. The shadows of evil spirits have plagued my youth with specific fears that were difficult to shake off. This warfare has left me struggling with doubts, fears, deceptions, and lies. Only through my Savior Jesus Christ as my shield and defender could I stand unharmed during those vulnerable moments. The Holy Spirit protected me with his wings of righteousness. Praise Him for it! Through this ordeal of warfare, I’ve learned how much evil hates it when I’m faithful and obedient to God. When I wanted to be a submissive and caring wife. It hates when I teach my children about Jesus and be obedient children. Holy Spirit leads us to trust God and not fear the evil that has already been conquered. O Father of steadfast love, continue protecting our family and bringing it together peacefully.

Thanksgiving

O Jesus, thank you for your perfect sacrifice at the cross for my soul. You’ve cleansed my hands and given me a pure heart. I can now lift up my soul to your holy places. Your blessings and righteousness toward us are the best gifts a soul can receive. O Jesus, let me seek your face with songs of praise and prayer of thanksgiving.

Supplication

O Father in heaven, let your Son Jesus save my youngest Son and K. from the pit of the shadows of evil. They will have no hope of salvation, eternal life and a relationship with Jesus in that state of mind. Corruption firmly gripped both of them while we were young and vulnerable. You alone can break their chains and clear their conscience and reason. O Father, I pray you to call upon them soon so we might enjoy their company as we miss them terribly. Do so according to your marvellous glory and mercy; at the time, it is best.

Daily Reading & Reflection

We read Isaiah 12 this morning, and what a blessing it was to us. Now that I’ve memorized Titus 1-3, I’m trying to recite the entire book aloud without peeking at my Bible. At the moment, I’m glancing at least 10-12 times.

How is your prayer time alone with God this week? When was the last time you read the entire Bible in one year? I lost count of how many times I have read the Bible in its entirety, but it doesn’t matter; I still want to read it repeatedly. I enjoyed the ESV audio Bible and have reviewed the entire book once this yearend. Yes, I’ve started to listen to Genesis again. Sometimes, like yesterday, I listened to Titus and Hebrews while painting my old hutch.

The Lord Is My Strength and My Song

You will say in that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O Lord,
for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
    that you might comfort me.

 “Behold, God is my salvation;
    I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the Lord God is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
    call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.

 “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth.
Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

PSALM 15

Your Holy Hill

Gordon Fall- Elgin N.B
1 O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

Adoration

Almighty Creator, your creation declares your work worldwide (Isaiah 6:3). O Lord, let me dwell on your holy hill, for there is no other place that shall give me peace. O Son of man, you're my friend and comforter. O Spirit, guide my every step, so that I may grow in wisdom and faith.
2
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
    and speaks truth in his heart;
3
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
    nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
4
in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
    but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5
who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved.

Confession

O Lord, let me walk blamelessly before your eyes and give me the courage to speak the truth from my heart. O Lord, teach me not to fear those who can hurt the body but cannot harm the soul. Forgive me when I talked against those who opposed your teaching and helped me pray for them instead. Forgive my unwise decisions and lack of stewardship. Forgive my heart for not having a greater love for your kingdom.

Thanksgiving

Thank you, Father, for your Son Jesus, who you sent to save us (John 3:16). Thank your Jesus for redeeming my soul from the wrath of God. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for regenerating my mind, soul, and heart to respond to the good news. Thank you for allowing me to love others in Christ. Thank you for this extended family of brothers and sisters that loves me. Thank you for being a faithful husband and my three children. Thank you for our open churches and faithful pastors.

Supplication

I omitted writing this personal section. This is the section I prayed for people and situations.
